Friends Come & Friends Go

Let’s talk about friendship…

As we move through life, it’s easy to feel the shift — the one where friendships start to look and feel different.

Not because of a fall-out.

Not because of anything personal.

But because life… just happens.

Work gets busy.

Parents age.

Kids grow — or grandkids arrive.

Stress creeps in. Finances tighten. Energy wobbles.

And suddenly, those easy connections we used to rely on feel harder to reach. Less frequent. A little distant.

It’s not always about effort or intention. It’s about capacity — and how life pulls us all in different directions at different times.

Friendship is a two-way street. But it doesn’t always move at the same pace.

And it can hurt — when you feel like you’re not someone’s priority, or when a once-close bond fades quietly into the background.

But it doesn’t mean it wasn’t real. Or that it won’t return in a different form, one day.

This is your reminder:

Don’t take it personally.

People’s priorities change, and so do yours.

And sometimes the most nurturing thing you can do is gently release what’s no longer fulfilling you… and open the door to new, soul-nourishing connections.

True friendships do stand the test of time. But they also evolve. And so can we.

If you’ve been feeling a bit lonely, or unsure where you fit — you’re not alone. I definitely often feel like this as a non parent and working on my own at home.

However…

There is always space for new energy, new connections, and new beginnings — at every age, and every stage.

Some of the best friendships you are to experience, are yet to come! So….

Stay open. Stay kind. And most importantly, stay connected to you xx
